180316 UCC Beaufort - Design & Build Works Contractors for the Installation of the Ocean Basin Access Platforms in the Lir National Ocean Test Facility Beaufort Building Ringaskiddy.

The proposed works comprise the design, manufacture and installation of a pedestrian access bridge and instrument bridge for the Wave Basin in the National Ocean Test Facility (NOTF) located in Ringaskiddy.The Installation only of a client issue camera Truss Gantry is also a requirement. A brief scope of the proposed construction works are as follows:- Pedestrian Bridge. Facility to provide a pedestrian bridge to give personnel access over the central test area of the wave basin to assist in the setup and adjustment of models on test. The pedestrian bridge will need to span the width of the Ocean Basin. Instrument Bridge. Facility to provide an Instrument Bridge to mount wave measurement probes and other instrumentation when testing a modeled device or structure. It supports the associated wiring a safe distance above the water and ensures that it does not restrict the model during testing. Motorisation of Bridges. It will be a requirement that the access bridge and instrument bridge both be motorised and have the ability to move independently of each other. Positioning/Installation of a Client supplied Instrument Truss over the Ocean Basin.
