LEE421C - Scanning Electrochemical Workstation for NUI GALWAY

The Education Procurement Service on behalf of NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF IRELAND, GALWAY (the “Contracting Authority”) invites tenders (“Tenders”) to this request for tenders (“RFT”) from economic operators (“Tenderers”) for the supply of the goods as described in Appendix 1 to this RFT (the “Goods”).

In summary, the Goods comprise:

The equipment will comprise of a Scanning Electrochemical Workstation which can perform Scanning Electrochemical Microscope (SECM), Scanning Vibrating Electrode Technique (SVET) and Localized Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (LEIS) or ac SECM.

This public procurement competition will be divided into 1 lots (each a “Lot”) as described below.  Each Lot will result in a separate contract.

This tender is to purchase some of the latest technology that is unavailable at National University of Ireland, Galway and is an important part of material analysis which is fundamental for the success of the new Centre for Research in Medical Devices (CÚRAM). The equipment will comprise of a Scanning Electrochemical Workstation which can perform Scanning Electrochemical Microscope (SECM), Scanning Vibrating Electrode Technique (SVET) and Localized Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (LEIS) or ac SECM.

The University may in certain circumstances consider “demonstration” models or second user models that comply with the technical requirements as laid down in Section 4.   However if the Buyer intends to bid second user equipment it must be marked as an “alternative” proposal as these documents are specific in their nature in terms of new equipment.
