Togher Masterplan - Preparation of a Masterplan for the Togher Area , Portlaoise, Co Laois

Tenders are invited from suitably qualified and experienced companies to prepare a Masterplan for the Togher Area (Map of study area attached) in Portlaoise that will develop and deliver the most effective presentation (Layout and design), land management and traffic modelling associated with the site. The masterplan for Togher needs to consider a number of key components to ensure the proper planning of the scheme. These components are: • the realisation of the economic and employment potential of the site; • the development of the local road infrastructure within Portlaoise , and connecting it to the strategic road network, to provide efficient and effective connections between the commercial and operational interests within the site, and mitigate any impacts of the scheme on strategic national road infrastructure; • the provision of complementary facilities and land uses to support the sustainable development potential of the Togher Area; • the area improvements which need to be created both in the built environment and in the hard and soft landscaping.
