Irishtown Woodstock GWS - Irishtown GWS – New main and Enabling Works Contract

Irishtown GWS – New main and Enabling Works Contract is designed to provide for and includes the following works: i. Construction of HDPE new/replacement mains as follows: * 90mm OD (HDPE) SDR17 - approximately 1,000m * 180mm OD (HDPE) SDR17 - approximately 60m ii. Installation of associated pipeline fittings, connections etc on the new mains, iii. Installation of 30 No Sluice, Scour, Air Valves, 3 No Pressure Reducing Valves (PRV) on the existing distribution main, Mains Booster Station, Chlorine Booster Station and mains Flow Control Valve. iv. Disposal of excavated material in accordance with the Waste Management Acts 1996-2003 including obtaining all approvals and licences, v. All connections to existing mains to be carried out during controlled shut downs of maximum duration of 4 hours where 10 days written notice has been given to Irishtown Group Water Scheme, vi. The Contractor must allow for all fittings necessary to allow the connections from the existing mains to the new mains including any temporary fittings or structures, vii. Installation of all valves and connection changeovers must be carried out in a phased basis in conjunction with the Irishtown GWS Committee and the Engineer Representative, viii. Provision of temporary and permanent road reinstatement, and land restoration, ix. Application to Mayo County Council for Road Closures for all works affected by the pipelaying, civil works and connection of new water supply and carrying out of temporary and permanent road restorations
