Institute of Technology Carlow - Term Maintenance & Refurbishment Contract Framework

The Contracting Authority intend to form separate multi-supplier frameworks for small building works contractor and electrical contractor. The multi-supplier term contract will typically comprise maintenance and refurbishment works which individually are not envisaged to be greater in value than €20,000 for building works and €15,000 for the electrical works. Works in value greater than €20,000 and €15,000 will be awarded through a competition to all framework members. The value of works on the Building Works framework is not expected to be greater than €250,000 and Electrical framework €300,000 in a one year period. Separate single-supplier frameworks will be formed for the following trade; Minor Mechanical Works (excluding AHUs & Boiler Room Plant). The single supplier term contract will involve a number of small projects which individually are not envisaged to be greater in value than €10,000 and in total not expected to be greater than €150,000 in a one year period. The term maintenance and refurbishment contract framework will be ad-hoc / maintenance / refurbishment type projects. They will also include emergency type projects and require a response time of 2 hours. The extent and scope of works will fulfil the requirements of ITC as they arise and will be agreed on an ongoing basis and executed subject to the issue of the relevant appointment documentation. The works will typically take place in Institute of Technology Carlow, Killkenny Road, Carlow and from time to time on the Wexford and Wicklow Campuses. The duration of the respective frameworks will be 1 year with the option of an extension for an additional year.
