TD 65 - Tender for the Purchase of Cisco Hardware

The LGMA currently provides hosting to local authorities & LGMA business units from a primary and a secondary datacentre. Due to redevelopment, we must move/migrate/rebuild our secondary datacentre services as quickly as possible to alternative locations by the 31st December 2017. The existing secondary site uses Cisco routers, a Cisco ASA cluster and multiple Cisco switches to deliver the services required by the LGMA, including the use of BGP to advertise the LGMA’s external IP address ranges, termination of a large number of VPNs and a comprehensive security-driven VLAN configuration. As the existing secondary site must remain active until the new DR site is ready for operation we are unable to remove the existing Cisco equipment without impacting services. The current plan is to purchase similar Cisco equipment but with smaller throughput and copy the existing router, ASA and switch configurations to the new DR site equipment. Once the secondary site external IP address ranges are migrated to the new DR site, all external connectivity configuration & VPN links should come on-line.
