UrbanTraffic Management and Control(UTMC) and Signalling Equipment Expansion and Maintenance works

Initial expansion (during current year), subject to Funding, includes: (i) the establishment of an off site Disaster Recovery System, (ii) the upgrading of the video wall in the control room to add two additional screens, (iii) the installation of an automated Fault Alert and Management System. (iv) the replacement of two on street sentinel junction controllers with an ITC (or equivalent) controllers, (v) the installation of four CCTV Cameras . (vi) the installation and configuration of SPOT units, (vii) the installation of the detector loops, (viii) the installation of pedestrian and cycle counters and (ix) the establishment of Traffic Management Plans for all junctions to be implemented in the event of signal outage. Maintenance of the UTMC system shall commence at the start of January, 2018, and shall be for five years. Apart for communications equipment, it shall include all hardware and software in, or associated with the UTMC system. It also includes the provision of Technical support on and off site. Maintenance of the Signalling Equipment shall commence at the start of August, 2017, and shall be to the end of 2022. Apart for communications and CCTV equipment, it shall also include all equipment, software etc., associated with on site traffic signals. Expansion in subsequent years (2018-2022) shall include (i) further expansion of the Video Wall, (ii) ongoing replacement of Sentinal Controllers, (iii) the installation of pedestrian and cycle counters on all bridges, (iv) modification of existing junctions along with (v) the installation of 17 new signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings.
