6871 - Hydraulic Lift Replacements Programme 2017/2018

The scope of works includes the manufacture, installation and commissioning of electric traction passenger lifts with automatic sliding doors which must comply with the following specifications and regulations: • EU Directive 95/16/EC on lifts. • EU Directive 89/336/EC on electromagnetic compatibility. • EN 81-1:1998+A3:2009 - Safety Rules for construction and installation of lifts. • EN 81-28: 2003 Safety rules for the construction and installation of lifts. Remote alarm on passenger lifts and goods passenger lifts. • EN 81-70, EN 81-71, EN 81-72, EN 81-73: 2003-2005 – Further Safety Rules for Lift Installations. • BS 9999: 2008 – Fire precautions in the design and construction of buildings, (in particular) Part 5, entitled Designing means of escape. • Building Regulations 1997 – Technical Guidance Document (with amendments) FIRE. Part B: Section 1.4.9 • Building Regulations 2010 – Technical Guidance Document: Access for Use – Part M. • ET 101 / 2008 – National Rules for Electrical Installations by Electro-Technical Council of Ireland, fourth edition. The 2017 planned programme is for the installation and commissioning of electric traction passenger lifts at four locations - Mallow, Portlaoise, Portarlington & Connolly Stations. The 2018 planned programme is for the installation and commissioning of electric traction passenger lifts at an additional four locations; The planned locations are Dundalk, Balbriggan, Skerries and Dun Laoghaire Stations. The 2017 and 2018 programmes will only be tendered to those applicants who successfully pre-qualify from this process. A PRE-QUALIFICATION QUESTIONNAIRE IS ATTACHED TO THIS NOTICE AND MUST BE COMPLETED AND RETURNED AS DIRECTED INCLUDING ALL REQUIRED SUPPORT MATERIAL.
