2017 Summer Works - Tallaght Community School Electrical Upgrade - SWS 2017

The project involves the disconnection, strip out and disposal of the existing electrical services installation and the supply and installation of a new installation as indicated on the drawings. A summary breakdown of the works is a follows: • Disconnecting, stripping out and disposing of existing main switchboard, distribution boards and associated submains cables; • Disconnecting, stripping out and disposing of existing cables, cableways. fittings, switchgear, etc. in the areas to be upgraded; • Supplying and installing a new custom built main switchboard and sub-switchboards; • Supplying and installing new custom built distribution boards; • Supplying and installing new electrical cableways and cables. Existing containment shall be retained and re-used where deemed acceptable by the Engineer; • New general services; • New general lighting services; • New emergency lighting; • New telecommunications services; • New public address system. Due to the restricted timeframe to carry out the works, the contractor shall prepare his tender on the basis of shift work to run 24 hours per day, 7 days per week from start to finish.
