Kids' Own Online Platform - For Design & Development of a digital interactive space for children’s artwork and writing

Kids' Own sees the potential to bring our archive of work to a wider audience through the creation of a digital space for children’s artwork and writing. The digital space will be a showcase and live event platform for contemporary arts practice with children and young people, and seeks to increase engagement with children through a live online platform, and increase accessibility to, and dynamic interaction with, a unique body of work across a range of media for an audience of: parents, educators, and children. In the development of the digital space, two key roles have been identified: 1) Archivist/Curator for the Kids’ Own archive towards the development of content for the digital space. 2) Designer/Developer for the digital space. Two separate requests for tenders have been developed to identify a candidate or organisation to deliver each piece of work. This request for tender is for Role 2: Designer/Developer for the digital space. Design The Designer/Developer will lead on the design of the digital space and will offer a contemporary and dynamic design that meets the requirements of the specification. The designer will work closely with the Kids’ Own team to develop a vision for the platform that supports the varied content and media of Kids’ Own’s work. Development The Designer/Developer will build the digital space according to the specification and design. The development phase will include a user-testing phase and a period for fixes of snags, post-launch.
