1. SCOPE OF WORKS The client is F.O.N (Ballymacoda) Ltd and the contract will be for the construction of a playground on an open space. Only one submission will be accepted per company. The size of the playground is max 25m x15m. All Tenderer’s must complete a tender breakdown and a form of tender as outlined below. The design for the playground should cater for children up to the age of 12 including an area for an adult exercise. The Playground must be surrounded by a suitable fence (see minimum requirements attached) please submit details of the fencing proposed. The contract is for preparation of the site, the supply and installation of all play equipment, laying of safety surfacing including all internal and perimeter kerbing and footpaths. All ground works including internal and perimeter kerbing and footpaths will be the responsibility of the successful contractor. The site area is marked on accompanying plan. The contractor is advised to submit proposals considering the available budget. The proposal should utilize the full site. It is imperative that the facility will be open to the general public by September 2014 The maintenance period for the contract will be for a period of 12 months from the date of issue of the third party post installation inspection (see section 6 below). 2. BUDGET The budget including VAT is €84,500. This should allow for the supply of materials and installation of the elements associated with the following operations. Play equipment, ground preparation, fencing, impact absorbing surfacing, and construction of all internal footpaths and kerbing.
