KCC Denny Factory Demolitions - Kerry County Council are inviting submissions from Contractors to prequalify through Suitability Assessmet for Denny Factory - Demolitions and Site Remediation Project 2017, Tralee, Co Kerry

Contract Awarded - Loftus Demolition & Recycling - Kerry County Council are seeking suitably qualified and experienced Contractors to provide Main Contractor and PSCS services for the demolition of the former Denny Factory facility and subsequent site remediation at the Island of Geese, Tralee, Co Kerry.  The proposed works will include: - Provision, maintenance and removal of safe access - Provision, maintenance and removal of traffic management - Dismantling, sale and removal of recovered and recycled building fabric and building services structures and elements including but not restricted to external envelope and internal finishes claddings, structural steel, pipes, fittings and scrap metal, stainless steel tanks, plates,and all and any other sundry fixtures, fittings, structures and assemblies that may have potential monetary value to the Client. - Removal of and disposal of asbestos by a licensed asbestos waste specialist; - Demolition of all above and below ground concrete, slabs, stone and block work walls and structures, on-site crushing, stockpiling, spreading and rolling. - Removal of all and any vegetation, trees and surplus soil from site. - Inspection of all tanks prior to demolition, safe removal of all gases, liquids and solids, demolition of tanks and removal of all to a licensed waste facility. - Safe demolition of existing buildings and appropriate recycling and/or disposal off site; - Identification and assessment of all and any contamination, hazardous materials and substances, assessment of ground water and ground water quality and development of an Environmental Conceptual site Model (CSM) for future management. - Excavation of identified contaminated soil and removal to a licensed waste facility - Extensive site investigation for assessment of future site - PSCS role for the duration of the works - Medium term temporary landscaped open space area over the site in its entirety including fill material, drainage, landscaping etc
