16/312 - Courtmacsherry & Timoleague Sewerage Scheme – Wastewater Treatment Plant DBO Contract

The contract consists of the design, construction, testing, operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant (WwTP) and associated wastewater network and pumping stations as follows: The Design Build (1 year) requirements will include: • New 2,500 PE WwTP at Courtmacsherry • Approx. 1.2 km of new outfall pipeline at the WwTP • New combined sewer overflow at Timoleague • New sewer network pipelines in Courtmacsherry (approx. 75m) • New sewer network pipelines in Timoleague (approx. 520m) • New pumping station and associated rising main (approx. 3.6km) at Timoleague • New pumping station and associated rising main (approx. 1.2km) at Courtmacsherry • Rehabilitation of existing sewers, culverts and manholes • Upgrading of 2 No. pumping stations • Decommissioning and demolition of existing wastewater infrastructure not incorporated into the Works along with disposal of all associated redundant equipment and materials and site reinstatement • Commissioning and testing of all works • Carry out the role of Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) and Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS) The Operation Service requirements will include operation and maintenance of the WWTP and collections network (including pumping stations) for a 7-year period, following completion of the Design Build Period. Operation and maintenance of existing pumping stations (2 No.) and septic tanks (2 No.) will be required from date of takeover.
