TCC_MACH_24102016 - Purchase of 1 No. 1.9 Tonne Excavator for the Clonmel Borough Municipal District

Tipperary County Council (TCC) Machinery Section is currently seeking to purchase 1 No. 1.9 Tonne Excavator for the Clonmel Borough Municipal District. Boom 1. The excavator to have a maximum dig depth of 3.075m approximately. 2. The excavator to have a maximum dump height of 2.846m 3. The dipper length to be approximately 1.5m. 4. The boom to be fitted with a quick hitch attachment 5. The excavator to be supplied with a 600mm grader bucket, 300mm straight back bucket, & 200mm bucket. Engine 1. The excavator to have a diesel engine of approximately 14.2 Kw. Tracks 1. The excavator to be fitted with 9’’ rubber tracks. 2. The tracks to be capable of being extended or retracted as required. The minimum required life span of the excavator is 10 years and due to the nature of the usage, minimum downtime is a prime consideration The excavator must comply with the statutory provisions laid down in current Road Traffic Regulations. The life expectancy of the excavator to be at least 10 years. The excavator shall be a model commonly sold in Ireland. It must be a standard production model for which spares and mechanical servicing facilities are readily available. Cab 1. The excavator to be fitted with a fully enclosed cab with suitable roll over protection. 2. The drivers seat must be fully adjustable. 3. The drivers seat to be fitted with a suitable seat belt. 4. The excavator must have a suitable fire extinguisher fitted. 5. The excavator must have a suitable First Aid Kit fitted.
