Catering Service Custom House - The provision of Catering Services to the Department of Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government in the Department's Offices in the Custom House, Dublin 1.

The contract will be for the provision of a catering service in the canteen area (Longroom) of the premises of the Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government, Custom House, Dublin 1and the occasional provision of refreshments for meetings in the Custom House which is currently occupied by some 350 people . The Longroom in the Custom House has a seating capacity for up to 120 people, open on a daily basis, Monday to Friday (ex. Bank Holidays) between the hours of 8:30 am and 4.30 pm. The successful tenderer must provide a service between these hours. Department staff usually take their morning break between 10.30 am and 11.30 am and lunch break is taken between the hours of 12.30 pm and 2.30 pm. Facilities for tea and coffee should also be facilitated between the hours 3.30 pm and 4.30 pm., lunches and meetings should be catered for. Occasional out of hours events may need to be catered for. Prior notice will be given for these events. The expected menu should include but not be confined to tea/coffee, toast, scones, sandwiches, paninis, wraps, filled rolls, soup, salads, smoothies, snacks, fruit etc. The menu should also include a daily vegetarian option. There is a daily requirement to provide a varying hot food option at lunch time. On occasion, if requested by the Department, tea, coffee, light snacks and lunches may be required to be served away from the Longroom but within the premises in the Custom House, for example, in meeting rooms – of which there are currently 5 in the Custom House. All equipment needed for providing refreshments to meetings will be supplied i.e. tea/coffee flasks, trolleys etc. Generally at least 24 hours prior notice will be given to the successful tenderer of requested time for meetings.
