Abstract:                               Applications are invited from competent Contractors for upgrading works at N20 Annabella Roundabout, Mallow, Co. Cork. The works are summarised as follows:

·         Upgrade the existing roundabout, which is formed by the intersection of the N20 and N72 on the west side of Mallow town. The existing approach roads will be realigned locally, and all ancillary works necessary.

The work is to be carried out on behalf of Cork County Council. Tendering will be a single-stage process with a suitability questionnaire accompanying the completed tender .

INVITATION TO TENDER-N20 ANNABELLA ROUNDABOUT, MALLOW, CO. CORK

Tenders are invited from competent Contractors for N20 Annabella Roundabout, Mallow, Co. Cork, on behalf of Cork County Council. Tendering will be a single-stage process with a suitability questionnaire accompanying the completed tender.

The works comprise:

·         Provide, maintain and dismantle safe access to the works;

·         Provide, maintain and dismantle site boundary fencing for the duration of the works;

·         Setting up, operation and maintaining traffic management for the duration of the works;

·         Dealing with existing services;

·         Clearing of the site of all vegetation and loose material where necessary to facilitate the works;

·         Disposal off site of waste materials generated on site;

·         Demolition of existing roundabout, splitter islands, footpaths and kerb lines;

·         Installation of new roundabout, splitter islands and kerb lines at proposed locations;

·         Relocation of public lighting standards;

·         Replacing existing carriageway surface over full site extent;

·         Installation of new footpaths following kerb line relocations;

·         Upgrading existing watermain;

·         Relocation of existing services;

·         Landscaping new roundabout and approaches as per architectural layout;

·         PSCS role for the duration of the works.

The successful tenderer will have considerable experience in road works on national roads including roundabout reconstruction and carriageway lane realignment.The successful tenderer will also have considerable experience in road works involving traffic management on national primary routes.
