Citizens' Assembly - Request for tenders for accommodation and conference facilities for the Citizens' Assembly's meetings

The Department of the Taoiseach is seeking tenders from suitable hotels to provide weekend accommodation and conference facilities for approximately 120 people for the Citizens’ Assembly. As a guide, it is envisaged that the Citizens’ Assembly will be holding up to 10 weekend (all-day Saturday and until mid-afternoon on Sunday) conference-style meetings, averaging one a month, over a period of a year commencing in October 2016. The dates have yet to be finalised but they will not take place on bank holiday weekends or during any other holiday period such as Christmas or Easter. Tenderers may quote for any number or combination of meetings. The meetings will be broadcast live on the internet. Following this competition, it is intended to create a panel of hotels within a 20km radius of Dublin who indicate availability to provide accommodation/conference services from which the venue for each Assembly conference will then be selected. Hotels should clearly identify the weekend dates for which they will not be in a position to host an Assembly meeting during the 12 month period commencing October 2016.
