TCC Mach 18072016 - Purchase of 6 No. 26 Tonne GVW Tipper Trucks

Tipperary County Council (TCC) Machinery Section is currently seeking to purchase 6 No. 26 Tonne Tipper Trucks. The chassis shall be a model commonly sold in Ireland. The chassis must be a standard production model for which spares and mechanical servicing facilities are readily available. The chassis to have a 4.2 metre wheelbase (approx) The chassis must be fitted with an auto lube system. The vehicle to have a diesel engine of approximately 340 BHP. The engine to be fitted with a live drive for operating ancillary equipment. The steering must be power assisted, and be right hand drive configuration The tyres must be of radial construction, suitably rated to the vehicle. The brake system must be air operated with EBS as standard The vehicle to have a design gross vehicle weight of 26,000 Kgs The front axle must have an 8.0 tonne (approx) capacity with mechanical suspension.The rear axles must have a 23 tonne (approx) capacity with mechanical suspension. The vehicles to be fitted with a eight or nine speed manual gearbox.(approx.) The vehicles must be fitted with a crawler gear. The vehicles to be fitted with a single reduction rear axle with diff lock. The system must be 24 Volt negative earth type. The vehicles must have a full instrument and control panel including fuel and temperature gauges, speed limiter and all ancillary gauges for the safe operation of the vehicle. The vehicles must be fitted with a speed limiter and tachograph as standard The vehicles to be fitted with LED rear lights as standard. The vehicles to be fitted with a wire watcher system. Vehicles must comply with the provisions of the Road Traffic Act 1961 to 1994 and any amendments and all Statutory Instruments and Regulations made there under, and all EU Regulations as they affect Irish Law. The vehicles to be supplied with a steel tipping bodies, 5.5 metres (approx) in length, 2.5 metres (approx) in width and solid fixed steel side and solid fixed steel sides 900mm
