Monitoring stations metadata - Analysis of existing air quality monitoring stations in the national air quality monitoring network, compiling of metadata and production of a report on each station and the network in general

The EPA is responsible for the implementation of all Irish and EU ambient air quality legislation. It manages the ambient air quality monitoring network and is responsible for all reporting to stakeholders – which include the general public, the DECLG and the EU. The EPA is also the National Reference Laboratory (NRL) for ambient air monitoring for Ireland. The National Ambient Air Monitoring Programme invites tenders for the analysis of the existing network – including the detailed analysis of each of the monitoring stations in the network with regard to the provision of metadata associated with each station and the production of a detailed report on each station. Particular attention should be paid to the recent amendment to the CAFÉ Directive - 2015/1480 of 28 August 2015 (amending several annexes to Directives 2004/107/EC and 2008/50/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council laying down the rules concerning reference methods, data validation and location of sampling points for the assessment of ambient air quality). The EPA requires the analysis of the existing national ambient air quality monitoring network and the production of a report detailing this analysis with specific provision of, but not limited to components for each monitoring station detailed in the tender document.
