Howth FHC Consultancy Tender - Consultancy Services for West Pier Pontoon and Middle Pier Upgrade at Howth FHC, Co. Dublin

The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine requires the services of a Consultancy firm with expertise in civil and marine engineering to prepare Stage (i) Preliminary Report for projects A & B below at Howth Fishery Harbour Centre, Co Dublin. A) West Pier Pontoon The development will include a pontoon 33m in length and 6m in width, installation of steel tubular piles and a gangway. The pontoon will be used by Ferry operators in Howth FHC. B) Middle Pier Upgrade The development will include a new quay wall 130m in length and dredging for a berthing basin to -4.0m Chart Datum. The commission will include development of a baseline hydrodynamic model of the harbour area upon which the new quay wall development will be modelled to ensure the proposed development does not have an adverse effect on the wave climate conditions within the harbour. A geotechnical site investigation including sediment sampling and analysis will be required for both projects. The cost of any site investigation work will be borne directly by DAFM. The Consultant will however include for procurement of third parties for such site investigation work and for project managing those Contracts.
