Maintenance Dredging and Disposal of Contaminated Sediment at Dunmore East Fishery Harbour Centre (DEFHC), Co. Waterford, Ireland

The maintenace dredging works are to be undertaken at DEFHC and comprise: 1. Dredging to the design dredge depths illustrated on the tender drawings and as per the Works Requirements (Vol A), 2. Disposal of the dredged material at a suitable licensed disposal facility(s) taking into account the information provided in this tender. Chemical analysis has shown that most of the proposed dredge material is contaminated with heavy metals and TBT and cannot be disposed of at sea. The extent of the dredge area is approximately 28,000m2. Approximately 20,000m3 to 30,000m3 of material is to be removed from the harbour and disposed of at a suitable licensed dispsoal facility(s).
