2014/14 - Dublin Bus – Tender for the Removal of Magnetic Card Validator Machines from Buses 2014/14

Magnetic card validator (MCV) machines are currently fitted at the entrance door of all buses in the Dublin Bus fleet. They are being used to validate older style magnetic card type tickets that passengers present on entering the bus. It has now been decided to phase out this type of magnetic ticket as and from the 1st of July 2014. Hence all of these MCV machines need to be removed from all Dublin Bus vehicles. The labour aspect of this MCV removal work is the subject of this tender competition. Please find the following documents in relation to this tender process for your information. 1.
