A Construction contract, the PW-CF5 – ‘Contract for Minor Building & Civil Engineering works designed by the Employer’, published by the Department of Finance, consisting of:a single storey stand alone building in a parkland site which will comprise; a large sub-dividable multi-purpose room, office and reception, meeting room, canteen area and kitchen, toilet areas, plant room over corridor, and 2 semi-enclosed landscaped courtyards with high railings and gates.The Floor Area is approximately 405m¿ and the building varies in height from 3.9 to 6.4 metresThere is a requirement to achieve a high level of energy efficiency in line with the Department of Environment’s TOWARDS CARBON NEUTRAL PROGRAMME.The works include:the building of a single storey facility of externally insulated and rendered reinforced concrete and masonry walls, columns, beams etc. on ground beams and piled foundations with composite steel and Glulam laminated timber column and roof structure with insulated standing seam aluminium roof in two sections, aluclad timber curtain walling and windows and doors, large glazed and panelled internal joinery, heat exchange and recovery, permeable paved entrance drive and turning circle, paved and landscaped courtyards with gates and railings and some tree planting and incidental soil levelling.The duration of the project will be twelve months and contractors should be available to commence during July 2012Tenders are invited from competent & registered contractors who have proven experience of work of this nature.The contractor will have to prove competence to act as PSCS under the current Health and Safety Legislation.See also the separate documents “Minimum Qualifying Standards Document” and “Outline Project Description/Requirements” attached to this notice (5.2).Contractors should satisfy themselves that they qualify before requesting the full tender documents.The tender documents will be issued in digital format only.NOTE: To register your interest in this
