Short description R332 Kilbannon Improvement -
Multi-disciplinary Engineering and other Specialist Consultancy Services - Phases 1 - 4 of the TII Project Management Guidelines (Reduced Scope) Detailed description Galway County Council requires multi-disciplinary Engineering and other specialised consultancy services in accordance with the scheduled services specified under the 'Tender and Schedule' for the delivery of Phases 1, 2, 3, 4 (reduced scope) of the current edition of the TII PMG (PE-PMG-02041) for the on-line improvement (widening) of the R332 Tuam to Ballinrobe regional road, at Kilbannon. As this road is a regional route, and not a national route, the scope of engineering services is reduced from that required by the TII's PMGs and the reduced scope is reflected in the 'Tender and Schedule'.
The proposed development is an on-line development of the road, i.e. alternative routes are not being sought or proposed.
The main elements of the proposed road development include the following:
1.5km (approx) of Regional Road comprising a Type 2 Single Carriageway (on-line) to incorporate 2 no. at-grade junctions (1 no. Crossroads and 1 no. Priority T-Junction).
Approximately 200m of local road improvements/realignments and accomodation works.
Installation of drainage, construction of accommodation works.
Possibility of provision approximately 1.5km of footpath/cycleway along the Regional Road (to be decided).
Award Criteria: 70% Quality & 30% Price.
