Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) was established by the Irish Government under the Horse and Greyhound Racing Act 2001 and the Irish Horseracing Industry Act 1994. It is a commercial semi-state body that is responsible for the administration, promotion and development of Horse Racing in Ireland. HRI subsidiaries include Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Ltd (ITM), Tote Ireland Ltd and HRI Racecourse Division consisting of Leopardstown Racecourse, Fairyhouse Racecourse, Navan Racecourse, Tipperary Racecourse and Leopardstown Golf Centre. HRI Headquarters are located in Ballymany, Newbridge, Co Kildare.
Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) was formally established by the Horse and Greyhound Racing Act of 2001. Its mission is to develop and promote Ireland as a world centre of excellence for horse racing and breeding. Its primary functions include the development and promotion of the Irish horseracing industry, the development of authorised racecourses, the administration of prize-money at race fixtures and the control of the operation of authorised bookmakers. The subsidiaries Tote Ireland Ltd and Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Ltd. are all located in the same building at Ballymany, The Curragh, Co. Kildare.
Leopardstown Racecourse (The Leopardstown Club Ltd)
Leopardstown Racecourse is one of four racecourses owned and managed by Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) and is the only racecourse in Dublin, located 6 miles south of the city centre in Sandyford. It stages approximately 23 race meetings throughout the year, including the Christmas Festival, Irish Gold Cup, Irish Champion Weekend and a series of evening meetings throughout the summer months.
Situated in the heart of the famous Leopardstown race track, Leopardstown Golf Centre has for over four decades served as Ireland’s premier golf practice and tuition centre, providing thousands of golfers of all ages with their first introduction to the game side by side with club golfers striving for game improvement.
Fairyhouse Racecourse (Fairyhouse Club Ltd)
Fairyhouse Racecourse is located just outside Ratoath, Co. Meath, 13 miles from Dublin and 10 minutes from Blanchardstown Shopping Centre. Fairyhouse holds approximately 20 meetings per year of which 14 are national hunt meetings and it is the home of the Boyle Sports Irish Grand National.
Tipperary Racecourse is located on the main Limerick to Waterford road (N24), approximately two miles from Tipperary town. Tipperary Racecourse is one of Ireland's leading summer racetracks with top quality Flat and National Hunt racing. High profile events include the Abergwaun Stakes and the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fairy Bridge Stakes.
Horse Racing Ireland and its subsidiaries are collectively known as HRI and Subsidiaries (“the Contracting Authority”).
The Contracting Authority is seeking expressions of interest from suitable economic operators for the supply of natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). For a detailed description of requirements, please refer to section 2, Specification of Requirements.
Please ensure that you read the instructions below and the issued document carefully. All queries should be submitted through the eTenders query process. The deadline for receipt of queries is Friday the 24th June and the deadline for receipt of submissions is 12 noon on Tuesday 5th July 2016.
Without prejudice to the principle of equal treatment, the Contracting Authority is not obliged to engage in a clarification process in respect of tenders with missing or incomplete information. Therefore, tenderers are advised to ensure that they return FULLY COMPLETED tender submissions in order to avoid the risk of elimination from the competition.
Responses should be concise and should address the requirements of the Invitation to Tender Document in the same format and sequence as they appear in the attached document.
The Contracting Authority will not be responsible for costs, charges or expenses incurred by tenderers involved in this contract award process.
Contract award may be subject to satisfactory performance at interview and may be subject to approval by competent authorities.
Emailed or late submissions will not be accepted.
No commitment of any kind, contractual or otherwise shall exist unless and until a formal written contract has been executed by or on behalf of the contracting authority. Any notification of preferred bidder status by the Contracting Authority shall not give rise to any enforceable rights by the tenderer. The Contracting Authority may cancel this public procurement process at any time prior to a formal written contract being executed by or on behalf of the Contracting Authority. The Contracting Authority does not bind itself to accept the lowest priced or any tender.
The supply of services under this notice will be governed by standard Terms and Conditions of Horse Racing Ireland and Subsidiaries.
