IRCG 01/2016 - Supply, Installation and Commissioning of VHF Marine Band Coastal Radio Stations

The Irish Coast seeks a supplier for the supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of ten complete VHF Marine Band Coastal Radio Stations. It is expected that all equipment will be delivered and that two sites will be installed and commissioned during 2016. The remaining eight sites will be installed and commissioned during 2017. Each station will be contained in one nineteen-inch rack and will consist of three channels, each with main/standby transceiver units. It will be a requirement that the control of the transceivers be integrated with existing control systems at Dublin, Malin or Valentia control centres. It is intended to place the contract with a systems manufacturer/supplier who will be the sole contractor with the authority. The sole contractor will be at liberty to subcontract individual elements to other manufacturers and suppliers. The sole contractor, however, shall be directly responsible for the execution of the complete contract. Tenders will be required to demonstrate that they have a proven technical ability and capacity to provide the necessary equipments and on- going support for such equipments and systems to the required standard. They will also be required to demonstrate that they have sufficient financial and economic standing to undertake such a contract.
