Market Soundings Notice - THIS IS NOT A CALL FOR COMPETITION

The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine intends to issue a request for tenders in 2016 for the provision of Bovine Identification Tags to Irish Farmers. The Department wishes to conduct market soundings with Tag manufacturing companies who would be interested in such a tender process and in particular with regard to a tissue tag. The purpose is to explore the possibility of sourcing a tissue tag that is capable of providing a dual purpose sample i.e. for both Bovine Viral Diarrhoea (BVD) testing (antibody and virus detection) and DNA analysis for Genomic assessments.
