UCD requires a system that is fully automatic, can acquire and analysis information in 2d and 3d for both CT and optical (bioluminescence and fluorescence).

In recent years, a comprehensive state-of-the-art Preclinical Molecular Imaging Facility has been established in UCD. This dedicated imaging platform housed in the Biomedical Facility (BMF) encompasses Optical Imaging (IVIS Spectrum), Intravital Microscopy (Zeiss), Nuclear Scanning (LabPET Triumph), Computed Tomography (CT 120) and Ultrasound (Vevo 770) capabilities. The University would like to extend range of modalities to include an Optical System integrated with CT capabilities.
