The Chief Mechanical Engineer (CME), Chief Civil Engineer (CCE), Signal and Electrical (SET) and Building and Facilities (B&F) divisions of Iarnród Éireann () have small scale regular requirements for Metal Fabrication Services using mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium. IÉ are therefore seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced companies to participate in the Pre-qualification process to establish a multi-party framework agreement for Metal Fabrication Services on an ongoing and nationwide basis.

Most services required under the framework will be small scale and take place off-site i.e. items will be manufactured at the contractor’s premises and delivered to various IÉ locations around the country. However, occasional on-site fabrication may be required at any IÉ location. An element of design work and metal finishing or coating (e.g. protective primer or powder coating) may also be required as part of a process.

It is IE’s intention that all companies who are accepted onto the Framework will be requested to provide a price for each requirement as it arises.

The duration of the Framework shall be three (3) years with the option to extend by one (1) year up to a maximum of four (4) years.

All applicants wishing to be considered for inclusion on the Framework Agreement must complete a Pre-qualification Questionnaire
