Dublin City Council wishes to establish a multi-party framework agreement for the provision of plumbing goods and equipment for a one year period initially to cover 2015/2016 (expected to commence Q4 2015). However there will be an option to renew the framework agreement for three periods of one year each to cover 2016/2017, 2017/2018 & 2018/2019 respectively. The framework is for use by all departments of Dublin City Council. Where Dublin City Council exercises its renewal option at the end of each year, mini competitions will be held and framework members will be invited to revise and resubmit the prices offered. Following evaluation the ranking of the framework members will be revised accordingly. No obligation will exist for any contracting authority to place orders through this contract. Named contracting authorities are not and will not be under any obligation to avail of the service provision, if any, pursuant to this competition. No contract awarded pursuant to this RFT will confer exclusivity to the contractor where appointed. The framework is being established under the open procedure in accordance with the EU public sector directive 2004/18/EC. Under the open procedure any interested party may submit a tender. Tenderers should read the document “The Framework Agreement” attached to this invitation to tender for precise details on how the framework will operate.
