HSE 5524 - Surgical Services for multiple Hospital Locations
Hospitals have been requested to Meet the Minister for Health’s targets that no patient is waiting for inpatient or outpatient treatment longer than 18 months by end June 2015. The HSE in conjunction with the National Treatment Purchase Fund wishes to invite Private Healthcare Service Providers (hereafter “Service Providers”) to tender for the provision of services in relation to this invitation.
The required services are Annex IIB services, and accordingly, only Articles 23 & 35 (4) of the Consolidated Public Procurement Directive 2004/18/EC for the Award of public service contracts, as amended, apply to the award of any contract(s) that arise from this process.
It is intended to conduct this procurement process in two phases:
- Invitation to Tender
- Negotiation regarding specific patient requirements
All HSE Hospitals and HSE funded Hospitals are covered within the scope of this tender and are hereafter referred to as HSE.
The HSE is now seeking Tender Submissions from Service Providers who must be able to provide a fully comprehensive solution to the HSE’s requirements and to work in partnership with the hospitals services.
A service level agreement between the HSE and the Service Provider will be established to manage the provision of the service for the contract duration.
This initiative must be completed by 30th June 2015 however may additional during the tender validity period to the end of 2015.
Service Providers must have the capacity to complete all the procedures between estimated contract award date 26th May 2015 and 30th June 2015.
