UCDOPP566 - Design, Installation and operation of CHP Plant at UCD

UCD wishes to advise that this competition is hereby cancelled due to budget constraints. A new tender will be advertised in due course. There are currently two No. CHP (each 1.1MW electrically rated) sets operating in the Energy Centre on the Belfield Campus, UCD, This plant currently supplies electricity into the campus 10kV distribution network and heat produced is dissipated into the University District Heating System. The current contract under which the Energy Centre CHP operates is coming to a conclusion in September 2015. This project will involve the provision of CHP capacity that will provide electricity to the campus as well as heat to the Belfield DHS (District Heating System) that supplies heat to over 200,000 sqm of academic teaching and research buildings. UCD wishes to engage with the market in order to procure a new CHP solution that is economical, sustainable and reliable for the Belfield Campus.
