Removals Framework - Request for Tenders for admission to a Framework Agreement to provide international removal services (household effects) to staff of the Department.

The Department is seeking good quality, cost efficient, and reliable removal service operators to provide a “door-to-door” removals service (i.e. including packing and unpacking of household effects and furniture) for its staff who are transferred to and from postings overseas. Members of the Department’s staff are regularly posted from its Headquarters in Dublin, Limerick and Cork to overseas Missions under its planned postings system. Under this system, postings are normally decided in the Spring of each year with the majority of staff moves taking place during the months from June to September. In some cases staff already serving abroad may be assigned to another foreign posting (referred to as “cross-postings”). The Department meets the cost of shipping ordinary household furniture and effects (plus one car) and, where necessary, the cost of storage for limited periods at the time of transfer. There are approximately 150-190 staff transfers’ annually to/from/between overseas destinations.
