Iarnród Éireann – Irish Rail is seeking expressions of interest from providers of Security Services.
The services sought under this tender competition are:
Frontline and On-Board Security and;
Static Security
The Frontline and On-Board Security contractor will interface with Irish Rail passengers and members of the public. This security presence is part of Irish Rail's customer offering to ensure that the passenger's experience when using Irish Rail's services is safe and secure.
The Static Security contractor will take on the security function at Irish Rail's stations, buildings, depots etc. as required. Specific locations will have a permanent or semi-permanent presence at the points of entry and exit to and from premises. Key-holding, where an operative will be required to open and lock up unmanned stations around the rail network and also to secure Irish Rail's assets such as passenger lifts and ticket vending machines, will also be required.
The contract is being advertised in three lots; Lot 1 Frontline and On-Board Security, Lot 2 Static Security, and Lot 3 which is Lots 1 and 2 combined.
This contract has previously been advertised under OJEU Notice 2014/S/215-387972 published on 13th November 2014 and subsequent corrigendum 2014/S 227-401722 published on 24th November 2014.
Interested parties may express their interest by completing the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) attached to this Contract Notice. The completed PQQ must be returned to the prescribed address by the stated deadline to be included in the evaluation to establish a list of tenderers to whom the tender documents will be issued. A label is attached to this notice to facilitate the return of the PQQ
Interested parties who have previously submitted a PQQ under either of the above notices are not obliged to submit a new PQQ as the original submission remains valid. However, those parties may, if they so wish, refresh any of the information previously submitted by submitting a new PQQ.
Completed PQQs, in the form of two paper versions and one electronic version, must be received no later than 15:00 hours on 23rd December 2014 at:
