WCCC/R/070 - supply and delivery of safety footwear, anoraks, jackets, polo shirts, work shirts, sweatshirts and trousers and other related accessories

Waterford City and County Council are seeking to appoint a supplier to provide a range of Personal Protective equipment (PPE) and work wear,hereafter referred to as a ‘Person Pack’ as detailed within the tender documents The successful tenderer will be required to manage the entire process relating to the issue of appropriate PPE and work wear as per detailed specification. The process will include but not be limited to the following arrangements: 1. Arrange for a location and time for a personalised fitting service for individuals/groups of individuals for pre-order measurement of staff 2. Arrange for the measurement and ordering of the required goods dealing with any queries in relation to size, fit and personal circumstances of the individual employees 3. Aggregate the orders as appropriate to the needs and urgency of the particular deliveries to be coordinated with the Machinery Yard engineer hereafter referred to as the PPE Co-ordinator 4. Coordinate the delivery of the person packs to a central location/locations (to be agreed) for dispersal to staff members 5. Deal directly with individual staff members in relation to issues regarding fit/sizing and also with PPE Co-ordinator in relation to quality issues. 6. Make the necessary arrangements in relating to immediate replacement of poor quality/defective items with where necessary a superior quality product if the item becomes unavailable 7. Once the initial bulk purchases are completed to coordinate all future purchases with the PPE Coordinator or his assignee in a timely manner during the life of the contract
