ME/4998/DG [Repair and Maintenance of Electrical Rotating Machines and Associated Electrical Components]
Call for Competition
Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) are advertising a contract (min 3 years, max 5 years) for an experienced maintainer of railway rolling stock components to provide planned/preventative maintenance and also repair services for equipment damaged during service. The list of components are (but not limited to) the following;
Blower Motors [GM EMD]
Cooling Fan Motors [GM EMD]
Compressor Motors [Knorr Bremse, SAB Wabco]
Auxiliary Generators [GM EMD]
Voltage Regulators [GM EMD]
Main Generators [GM EMD]
IÉ are conducting this tender process utilising the negotiated procedure. This tender process is a 2 stage process;
a. Stage One: Pre-qualification and establishment of a shortlist of companies to be invited to tender;
b. Stage Two: Tender stage with ITT documentation being issued to all shortlisted companies.
Companies being invited to participate in stage two must have demonstrable experience in the overhaul of heavy electrical machinery, preferably in a railway environment or some other similarly regulated industry.
