The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) is establishing a framework agreement with a single operator for archive services for the organisation's records. Records are the Agency's ‘corporate memory’ and provide information, support decision-making and prove that our statutory obligations are being fulfilled. The EPA currently uses a number of external companies for offsite archive/storage purposes and has approximately 7,000 boxes in storage at various locations. It has been determined that consolidation of offsite storage services under one service provider would yield significant costs savings due to better economies of scale and also provide for greater organisational efficiency. Establishment of the framework agreement will be on the basis of competitive tenders received for the initial contract described in the RFT document and evaluation of tenders will be on the basis of the award criteria set out therein. The EPA intends to use the framework for the procurement of requirements falling within its scope during the specified period; however it reserves the right to go outside the framework for the procurement of any requirement without reference to the framework member. Admission to a framework does not guarantee the award of any contract to any economic operator, nor does it give the members the right to be consulted in respect of, or tender for, any contract. Admission to the framework will be conditional upon acceptance of the EPA’s framework terms and conditions in the RFT document.
