The Medical Bureau of Road Safety (Bureau/MBRS) is a statutory corporate body with a Board and a Director appointed by the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport. It receives its annual grant out of the vote for the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport. The functions of the Bureau are laid down in the Road Traffic Acts 1968 - 2010.
