Supply of Packaging and Sampling Spoons for Use in BSE and Scrapie Sample Testing

(1) The supply of packaging comprising of primary packaging with labels, secondary packaging, absorbent (capable of absorbing up to 600ml liquid), outer packaging and document pouches suitable for the storage and transport of brain tissue samples assigned to UN No. 3373 Biological Substances, Category B and conforming to the Packaging Instruction P650 specification for liquids. The Units supplied must meet the requirements as set down by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) at Appendix 1 of the tender document. (2) The supply of two (2) types of sampling spoons used for the extraction of brain tissue matter from bovine and ovine animals. The contract will be on a drawdown basis as required by the Contracting Authority and for delivery to the DAFM Stores in Sandyford Industrial Estate in Dublin, various Slaughter Plants and District Veterinary Offices. The Contracting Authority requires ONE supplier for all three items.
