The Employer invites you to tender for construction works for the above, as detailed below.

The works shall consist of a new two storey 24 classroom school including all ancillary teacher and pupil facilities, with a combined floor area of 4,050M2 delivered on a phased basis, will include the phased demolition/removal of the existing school building on the site including the relocation of 1no. prefabricated building and eventual removal of all prefabricated buildings.

The Site works and vehicular access to the school grounds will be reconfigured with the existing entrance removed and a new pedestrian and vehicle entrance and exit formed off Donore Avenue providing access to a new drop off area, the new entrance also accesses a new one-way coach and staff car park along the southern boundary exiting out onto Highfield Road. The development will include the provision 40no. bicycle parking and provision of 4no. electric bike parking.  Hard and soft play areas, 3no. Ball courts, bins store, piped infrastructure and ducting, plant landscaping and boundary treatments, ambulant car parking spaces, e-car charging points, ancillary pedestrian access ramp and complementary steps, signage, attenuation tank, changes in level and all associated site development and excavation works above and below ground.

 


Reserved Specialist’s role: Mechanical reserved specialist’s roles shall consist of installation, testing and commissioning of all mechanical installations including sub-specialists works associated with the works.
Reserved Specialists are being pre-selected and procured separately from the Main Contract and when procured will enter contract with the Main Contractor.

The deadline for receipt of tenders is 12:00 Noon on Monday 22ND May 2023. Tenders shall be submitted in electronic soft copy via the etenders tender box only.  

 

Tenders sent to any other address will be deemed to be invalid tenders. Unsigned or incorrectly signed Forms of Tender will likewise be deemed to be invalid tenders.

Tenders must be in the format prescribed in the Instruction to Tenderers and as noted below.

All queries must be submitted as soon as possible and, in any event, not later than 8 working days before latest time for receipt of Tender although the Employer may at its discretion respond to queries raised after that date.  If the Employer responds to a query, it will send the response to each Tenderer, unless the Tenderer asking the query has clearly designated the query as confidential and the Employer agrees that it should be treated as confidential.

A Candidate wishing to change any of the information in its prequalification submission for this competition must do so by written request to the Contracting Authority. The Contracting Authority may decide, at its discretion, whether to accept or reject the change.
