RFT  237233 - 8403: PQQ Description

Call for Competition – Supply and Repair of Electronic Components (Ref: RFT  237233 - 8403).

The Chief Mechanical Engineers (CME) department of Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) has a requirement, over the next 36 months with an option to extend by 12 or 24 months (total of 60 months) at IE’s discretion (the “Contract”). – RFT  237233 - 8403

Contract Description

Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) operate an electronic component repair facility in Drogheda, Co. Louth. This facility repairs OEM rolling stock equipment (i.e. PIS, Battery Charger, WSP etc.) which can be repaired by exchanging standard components readily available on the market.

To support the facility, IÉ require the services of a specialist electronic service provider to provide safe, reliable, and cost effective repairs to its Rolling Stock electronic components.

In addition, IÉ require the following services:

(i)      Component level debugging

(ii)     Reverse Engineering

(iii)    Sourcing of obsolescent parts in the aftermarket using their specific market knowledge and expertise

(iv)    Product re-engineering of difficult to source, obsolete components

(v)     Research and development

 

IÉ are therefore seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced companies to participate in a 2-Stage process:

  • Prequalification process for the Supply and Repair of Electronic Components
  • Invitation to Tender to those companies that qualify from the first stage. Please note, that this will be shortlisted to a maximum of four companies to go through to the tender stage of the competition.

 

Participants must have experience within this area of expertise, and it is expected that the winning tenderer will be capable of meeting all of IÉ’s requirements.
