The standard seats comprise of a seat frame and base, and the seat base and backrest are made of a foam cushion, covered in a moquette cover fabric with a glass fibre fire barrier stitched to the inside of the cover and a proban treated 100% cotton layer stitched between the two. Both elements are constructed on a plywood base equipped with mounting fixtures which allow fixing to the metal mounting frames., and the mounting frames have strips of the moquette cover fabric applied to its edges.
Due to the age of the passenger seats the seat foams and covering moquette are showing signs of wear and are due for replacement, as such IE requires the supply of complete seat base and seat backs including foam, fire barrier and cover moquette supplied ready to fit for a replacement programme of the entire fleet.

The standard seats comprise of a metal seat frame, base, and backrest, and the tip-up seats are in the form of a fixed backrest and a seat base mounted on a sprung tip up base. The seat base and backrest are made of a foam cushion, covered in a moquette cover fabric with a glass fibre fire barrier stitched to the inside of the cover and a proban treated 100% cotton layer stitched between the two. The seat base is also equipped with a spring suspension assembly which sits in a cut out section in the foam. Both elements are constructed on a frame equipped with mounting fixtures to be fixed to the seat frame.
