The development will consist of the construction of a new two storey extension adjacent to the existing Pharmacy Department located on the east side of the campus at Tallaght University Hospital, to provide a new GMP-compliant Aseptic Pharmacy Unit incorporating laboratory areas, support rooms and first floor plantroom, external stairway, new exit door from the Pharmacy corridor to the adjacent service yard, new exit door from the delivery bay area to the hospital delivery yard and associated site and landscaping works. This tender is to procure a Main Contractor to construct and coordinate the shell and core works into which the Aseptic Unit will be inserted. The Main Contractor shall be responsible for all site work including underground drainage and landscape works and shall have overall responsibility for the overall coordination and delivery of the Aseptic Unit to the requirements as set out in the URS (User Specification Requirements). The project must be delivered in compliance with Clean Build protocols as set out in ISO 14644 (Parts 4 and 5). A separate tender will issue to procure a Cleanroom Specialist for the fitout of the Aseptic Unit including all Mechanical and Electrical services within the shell and core, to be constructed by the Main Contractor. The successful tender for the Cleanroom Specialist shall be novated to the Main Contractor to execute the Works. The total Notional Construction Value of the contract is €5,200,000 ex VAT.

Lot 1 is to procure a Main Contractor (MC) to construct and coordinate the shell and core works into which the Aseptic Unit will be inserted.
