DCU-22014-S - Insurance Underwriting Services for the Intervarsity Insurance Management Group

Dublin City University is publishing this Prior Information Notice on a voluntary basis on behalf of the Intervarsity Insurance Management Group, which is comprised of members from: National University of Ireland, Galway, University College Cork, Maynooth University, Dublin City University, University of Limerick Trinity College Dublin The universities have come together to purchase four lines of insurance on a joint basis. The lines of insurance are as follows: Property Damage/Business Interruption Employers & Public/Products Liability Professional Indemnity Motor Fleet This is not a call for competition: this Prior Information Notice is being published on a voluntary basis to notify the market that the Intervarsity Insurance Management Group’s insurance broker, Willis Towers Watson Insurances (Ireland) Limited, will be managing the purchase of the above lines of insurance over the coming months. Willis Towers Watson Insurances (Ireland) Limited were appointed as the Intervarsity Insurance Management Group’s provider of insurance brokerage and placement services following a mini-competition under an Office of Government Procurement framework agreement. Any interested party should contact Willis Towers Watson Insurances (Ireland) Limited no later than 14 June 2022 in order to receive a market submission which will contain detailed information about the universities insurance requirements. It is envisaged that the market submission will be made available by before the end of May with quotations from insurers to be submitted to Willis Towers Watson Insurances (Ireland) Limited before the end of July.
