The Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage (the “Department”) use GIS to help people make better decisions by using geospatial data. The Department makes widespread use of GIS to support evidence-based decision, project delivery, data operations and communication via analysis and visualisation tools. The Department has very small team of full time GIS professionals. The scope and nature of departmental projects means that the GIS team must be proactive in their operational approach. This includes to use of frameworks to provide additional GIS support. This framework is designed to provide resource augmentation across a range of specialist GIS roles (Lots). It will allow the GIS team to bring in additional GIS resources and skills in order to respond to business objectives in a timely and efficient manner. The framework will be divided into 5 Lots each comprising a core set of GIS roles/skill-sets. Lot 1 GIS Application Development, Managed Services and Support Services. Lot 2 GIS Specialists. Lot 3 FME Professional. Lot 4 INSPIRE Support. Lot 5 Data Capture Projects.
