Tusla operates out of approximately 300 buildings located in 26 counties nationwide; Tusla has a variety of buildings of differing types and age from residential, office and mixed usage including some protected structures. A nationwide condition survey of buildings in the Tusla estate is required to determine their condition and identify works required to meet ongoing maintenance requirements is one of the key projects identified in the Tusla estates strategy. Tusla now wishes to undertake a comprehensive on site condition survey of all buildings in its estate. Each building will be surveyed by means of a comprehensive on site appraisal (See Appendix 1E attached as a separate document to this RFT). The survey of each building will take the form of visual inspections and will at a minimum assess: o The condition of the building fabric o The condition of the M+E services located therein o Statutory compliance The survey is intended to gather accurate empirical information regarding the scope, nature, and condition of each building, together with cost estimates in respect of both works necessary to attain a defined acceptable standard and an annual maintenance regime in each case.
