Multi- Party Framework Agreement for Suppliers of High and Low Level Lane-Separators for Dublin City Council 2020-2023

Dublin City Council proposes to establish a Multi-Party Framework Agreement for 1 year approximately to August 2021 for the supply of both High Level and Low Level Lane-Separators. The lane-separators are to be used to provide protection for cyclists from side swiping by motor vehicles . They must consist of two principle components, a base unit that can be bolted to the road surface and a vertical wand. They will be installed along the boundary between cycle lanes and the general carriageway. The low level separator will be less than 400 mm tall and designed to allow for vehicles on occasion to drive over it and enter the cycle lane. It will have a vertical rubber wand that is capable of withstanding vehicles driving over it and will allow for kerbside access for vehicles as required. The wand will be designed to bounce back to its vertical position once the vehicle has passed over it. In contrast, the high level lane-separators will be between 800 mm and 1000 mm tall and will be designed to prevent encroachment on the cycle lane at all times. The Framework will be in 2 Lots. One Lot for the supply of high level lane-separators (< 1000 mm in height) and the second Lot for low level lane separators (< 400 mm in height).
