Galway and Roscommon Education Training Board (GRETB) are seeking to establish two multi-party framework agreements for the provision of woodwork class materials for use in training centres, second level schools (Community Colleges), Further Education Institutes and other locations as may be required for the lifetime of the framework.
The Woodwork Consumables (the Goods) will be used in the Mervue Training Centre for training and assessment purposes for Phase 2 Carpentry and Joinery Apprentices and Phase 2 Wood Manufacturing & Finishing Apprentices as part of their Carpentry Standards Based Apprenticeship. Both apprenticeship training courses last 21 weeks (Full- Time).
The woodwork consumables which form part of this contract are required by our Secondary Level schools to deliver Junior Cycle technology programmes including the Junior Certificate Vocational Programme and the Leaving Certificate and Leaving Certificate Applied programme.
Orders will vary in size depending on the requirements of the school and centre. GRETB will require a full calendar year ordering / delivery facility. Note that there may be peaks in order patterns between September to November and April to May to facilitate Junior Cert and Leaving Cert requirements. It is important to note that GRETB require a delivery window of between 3-5 working days for all orders placed.
It is important to note that while pricing of Junior Cert and Leaving Cert cutting lists has not been requested, the provision of these items is an essential part of the framework arrangement.
GRETB now invites responses (“Tenders”) to this Request for Tender (“RFT”) from economic operators (“Tenderers”) for the provision of these items. The framework agreement will be divided into two (2) Lots (each a “Lot”) as described in table two below. Tenders can apply for both lots.
