04/2020 - Extension, Refurbishment and Alteration Works to Kinsale Community Hospital

Kinsale Community Hospital is located at Rath Beg, Kinsale, Co. Cork and supports older people within the Kinsale Community and catchment area. The centre provides long-term, respite, and palliative care for 40 residents. There is also a day care centre located on site, which is linked to the main building.

 The Health Service Executive now propose a new extension, with and including internal alteration and refurbishment works to comply with statutory regulation SI 415/2013 and SI 293/2016 and is inviting applications from building contractors 

 New build accomodation comprises 14nr single occupancy bedrooms with ensuites facilities,  recreation room, sitting room, physiotherapy room, quiet sitting room, nurse base and CNM office; Internal refurbishment of existing ward accomodation, ancillary support rooms, together with upgrade works to fire alarm system, emergency lighting system, general lighting and water services; together with and including external and ancillary site works.

 Works will be completed on a phased basis within a live community hospital facility, with no disruption to services allowable.
