2696 - The Provision of Orthopaedic Drill Systems - 2 Lots

Dear Tenderers,

The Contracting Authority, in the first instance, requires a managed equipment service contract of five years' duration for the provision of Orthopaedic Drill Systems (2 Lots), and the provision of all related support.  Relevant information, including Invitation to Tender and editable Pricing Schedules, Specification of Requirements, Form of Tenders and ESPD are available for download on www.etenders.gov.ie

Deadline for receipt of submissions is 31st October 2019 at 12:00 noon and deadline for clarificaitons is 17:00 p.m. 16th October 2019.

While this competition is being conducted by Beaumont Hospital, and while this framework agreement shall be primarily utilised by Beaumont Hospital, Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown, shall have the right to award contracts under this framework agreement by reference to the terms and contained in the framework agreement entered into between Beaumont  Hospital and the successful tenderer.  No guarantee is offered, nor should any such guarantee be inferred, regarding the quantity or scope of any such contracts.

On the grounds of urgency, and in accordance with Article 27.3 of Directive 2014/24/EU, the Contracting Authority is availing of shortened timescales in respect of this competition.  The urgency associated with the requirement arises from the fact that the required equipment will be used in an acute hospital setting.  On grounds of patient care, time is of the essence in respect of this competition.
